2021 TN Points Race
Purpose
- To incent shooters to travel and compete at various clubs around Tennessee.
- To provide another form of recognition for top performers.
- To give shooters a chance to win some great prizes.
- To name a Points Race Champion from across the classes.
- To have some fun competing!
The Race
The TSCA Board will select a schedule of 12 shoots between January and July 2021. These shoots will be published on the TSCA Website – www.tnsportingclays.com.
Just by shooting in the events you will be earning tickets for a great prize table that is being setup at the TN State Championships. Every time you attend another Points Race event you will be earning more chances to win prizes at Saturday night’s party.
You must be present at the drawing to win.
The Points Race
Each shooter who shoots registered targets at the Points Race will receive 10 points for participation. Additionally, points will be awarded based on the shooters finish in class:
1st & Ties – 100 Points
2nd & Ties – 90 Points
3rd & Ties – 80 Points
4th & Ties – 70 Points
5th & Ties – 60 Points
6th & Ties – 50 Points
7th & Ties – 40 Points
8th & Ties – 30 Points
9th & Ties – 20 Points
10th & Ties – 10 Points
The points are accumulated throughout the year. The top six (6) events out of the Points Race Calendar will be counted. If a shooter competes in more than six (6) shoots, he/she still accumulates the 10 participation points for each additional shoot. If a shooter competes in less than six (6) shoots, he/she will not be eligible for payouts. If a shooter moves up or down in class within the year, his/her points go with him/her. The shooter accumulating the most total points is the TN Points Race Champion. This shooter can come from any class.
Payouts will be paid as follows:
Points Race Champion – $500
NSCA M – E
1st – $300
2nd – $150
Concurrents
1st – $100
Ties for any of these places will be shot-off at the State Championship.
If there are no members from a particular class or concurrent who are eligible to win (by not shooting at least 6 events), no payout will be given for that class.
