2026 TN Points Race

Purpose

- To incent shooters to travel and compete at various clubs around Tennessee.

- To provide another form of recognition for top performers.

- To give shooters a chance to win some great prizes.

- To name a Points Race Champion from across the classes.

- To have some fun competing!

The Race

The TSCA Board will select a schedule of nine (9) Points Race Stops plus one (1) Points Race Finale, held between January and August 2026. Once finalized, these shoots will be published on the TSCA website – www.tnsportingclays.com

By simply participating in Points Race events, you’ll earn tickets toward an exciting prize table featured at the TN Points Race Finale in August. Each additional event you attend earns you even more tickets - giving you more chances to take home great prizes.

If you attend all ten events, including the Finale, you’ll earn a Golden Ticket for a special drawing at the TN Points Race Finale in August. If you’re able to make every stop, we highly encourage you to do so—you won’t want to miss this exclusive opportunity!

You must be present at the drawing to win.

The Points Race

Each shooter who shoots registered targets at the Points Race will receive 10 points for participation. Additionally, points will be awarded based on the shooters finish in class:

1st & Ties – 100 Points

2nd & Ties – 90 Points

3rd & Ties – 80 Points

4th & Ties – 70 Points

5th & Ties – 60 Points

6th & Ties – 50 Points

7th & Ties – 40 Points

8th & Ties – 30 Points

9th & Ties – 20 Points

10th & Ties – 10 Points

Note: To incentivize shooters to attend the Points Race Finale in August, points earned at the Finale will be worth double. For example, a 1st-place finish at the Finale will earn you 200 points, plus 20 participation points.

Points are accumulated throughout the year. Each shooter’s top seven (7) events from the Points Race Calendar - including the Finale - will be counted toward their overall score. Shooters competing in more than seven (7) events will still earn 10 participation points for each additional stop. Shooters competing in fewer than seven (7) events will not be eligible for payouts.  If a shooter moves up or down in class during the year, their points will move with them. The shooter who accumulates the highest total points will be crowned the TN Points Race Champion, and this shooter may come from any class.

A perfect score is 910 points, calculated as follows:

  • Six regular-event wins @ 100 points each = 600 points

  • One Finale win @ 200 points = 200 points

  • Nine regular participation points @ 10 each = 90 points

  • One Finale participation @ 20 = 20 points

  • Total = 910 points

Standings Payouts will be as follows:

Points Race Champion – $750

NSCA M – D

1st - $500

2nd - $300

3rd - $200

Concurrents

1st - $200

2nd - $100

Ties for any of these places will be shot off on Saturday, August 8th at the 2026 TN Points Race Finale at Cross Creek Clays.

To allow for more overall winners, a shooter is not eligible to win more than one award. For example, if a shooter wins the Points Race Champion title, they would not also be eligible to win the Veteran Champion award.

If there are no members from a particular class or concurrent who are eligible to win (by not shooting at least 7 events), no payout will be given for that class/concurrent.

NEW Lewis Class Payouts for 2026

Shooters who meet the minimum requirement of seven (7) Points Race Stops and have not already received a Points Race payout will be entered into a Lewis Class–style drawing for $1,000. This new structure is intended to create more overall winners within the TN Points Race Series. TSCA reserves the right to add additional funds to this payout.

Concurrent Points Race Leaderboard

There will be a separate leaderboard for the Concurrents (Sub-Junior, Juniors, Ladies, Veterans, Super-Veterans, Senior Super Veterans and Legacy) shooters that attend the events.  The points will be awarded just like the main Points Race leaderboard, with 1st & Ties receiving 100 points and so on.  Shooters will also receive 10 participation points just for attending the shoot.

Top 5 Shoot-off for Juniors and Sub-Juniors

After the conclusion of the Points Race, the Top 5 Juniors and the Top 5 Sub-Juniors will compete in a shoot-off on Saturday, August 8th at the 2026 TN Points Race Finale at Cross Creek Clays.

Winner of each category: $400 Cash

Runner-Up of each category: $100 Cash

Promotion / Operation / Administration

The points for the race will be tabulated by TSCA. The running results will be published on www.tnsportingclays.com. There will be no additional fees or registration for participation in the Tour. If you show up at one of the Tour Stops, you are in the race.
